Back in Sydney, Australia :-)

Leaving on Friday from L.A. and arriving on Sunday in Sydney feels even longer than the flight already is! Different timezones can be confusing.

Travelling around the world for a bit was now on the list. At first a bit in Australia, then Thailand, Spain, visiting my family and friends at home in Germany and finally New York and Los Angeles.

In New York I was blessed to meet Lloyd Kaufman, director, producer, co-founder of Troma Entertainment and chairman of the Independent Film & Television Alliance.

For 2,5 weeks I experienced Los Angeles, enjoyed bike rides at Venice and Santa Monica Beach, hiked up to the Hollywood Sign, had my first ever Limo Ride and also took some acting classes there at Expressions Unlimited Acting Studio.

Most of the time I was travelling just by myself, but I met so many lovely people. It was amazing and I never felt alone, not even one second.

I had a break from citylife and everything else which is normal to me since I am a little kid! I became Anja the Farmer and worked on a Cattle Station in the Australian Outback in the Northern Territory for 4 months! I experienced the isolated life in the middle of nowhere, the next city and the next supermarket is 4 hours drive away! I even forgot how money looks like! Everything was so new and different to me, however it was a nice change to everything I experienced so far and I kind of liked it after a while. Lots of silence, no mobile phone networks, nature, animals, homegrown beef, jumping kangaroos in the wild, insects, frogs in the bathroom and also sometimes in the bed. And soo much dust and dirt, I always felt like I am looking like homeless with the dirty clothes and when I am under the shower, lots of mud was coming down. But that is totally normal there. Well, except from watching DVD movies(which luckily the farmers had a lot of), I had a completely break from the Entertainment Industry.

I did this farmwork to qualify for the second working holyday visa to have a workpermit for Australia for one more year. Apart from that it was one of the best experiences in my whole life, I don't want to miss!

I started with a really interesting Acting Class at The Australian Film & Television Academy, Sydney; it focuses on Emotions specialized for Film and TV work

We are using different techniques than all classes I had ever before. Love it!

It was insanely intensive (from 9 am till 11pm for one week and 13 different scenes ;-))I had never ever before done so many scenes in such a short amount of time and so less time to prepare...an exausting but awesome experience!

Today I arrived in Sydney, Australia

What a long trip, almost 2 days on airports and inside planes. But now I am here :-)

My workvisa for Canada has expired. Unfortunately its time to leave beautiful Vancouver :-( However I decided to start a new adventure and fly directly to Sydney, Australia also with a Working Holyday Visa

I will continue with my acting studies and also english studies :-) However I hope I can come back to Vancouver one day

They had sales on flights and they were so cheap! So I booked a spontanious holyday trip to Hawaii and also combined it with a photo and videoshoot and 4 Acting Classes at The Actors Workshop Wayne Ward plus one Casting Director Workshop

Probably one of the best times in my life! Thanks to the flight sales! Coincidentally the Director Alexander Payne and Casting Director John Jackson came to one Acting Class for an Info Session. It was very exciting and interesting, also to observe the acting students in so much hope to get casted for a part for his upcoming movie The Descendants. For me it had just educational purpose.

In the last weeks I had my first auditions for studentmovies, luckily with some success :-) Anyway I noticed lots of weakness, so I started with Audition Classes at Shoreline Studios

!!!My teacher is Viv Leacock. Its kind of coincidence, one day after my first class I was watching the movie 2012 in the cinema and recognized him, he had a small acting part as Ark Boarding Officer. I was surprised, because I didn´t expect it, was so cool!

It was a conference szene, playing in Boston. Amazing how many cities they rebuilt in Vancouver! And another awesome thing happened! One actor was playing a german and he had to say one german word, so I helped him with the pronunciation. It is episode 13, coming out here in January 2010
